How Labels43 fits your operation.
Is Labels43 a WMS or an integration layer?
Both deployment models are possible. Run Labels43 as your headless WMS, or use it alongside your existing WMS to connect custom workflows, shipping services, and carrier rates. We’ll help you choose the right setup for your operation.
Who owns inventory in each deployment?
In a standalone deployment, Labels43 is the inventory authority. In a mixed deployment, your existing WMS remains the authority and Labels43 syncs supported operational results back. We establish the ownership and writeback rules for your setup.
Do I need to replace my existing WMS?
No. Keep your warehouse team in their existing workflow. Use Labels43 to add carrier coverage, rates, or headless interfaces around your WMS. The exact operations available depend on the connector.
Can I use my own carrier rates?
Yes. Bring your own carrier contracts, use our negotiated rates where available, or combine them. If you already have great rates, keep them. We’ll confirm carrier and service availability for your account.
How do Claude Code and Codex fit in?
They help you build your own warehouse interfaces and integrations using the documented APIs. Labels43 hosts the operational services. Your coding assistant helps with development and setup; warehouse transactions run through the APIs.
Where are the dashboards and labor reports?
Build the views your team needs using operational data and labor metrics. The headless approach lets you choose your own screens, reporting tools, and workflows instead of adopting another prescribed dashboard.
Can I change the WMS myself?
Yes. Sign up for access to the open-source code and a fork we host for you. Your agent can inspect the code, implement a feature, submit a PR, and deploy it to your fork. You get visibility into the deployment, so your roadmap doesn’t have to wait for our team’s bandwidth.
